W.I.P Portrait for the Alice in Wonderland contest on DA. Wonder if I'll get it finished in time...(Looks doubtful; deadline is tonight)

Sorry about disappearing. I did finish something, I just didn't post up progress shots...^^;

Not bad for three hours work. Drawn at college on my new net book with my trusty drawing tablet. <3

This needs work. Lots of it. Especially that hand. The way this is going, half of that hand will probably be cropped out of the final image. Can you tell which cause this pic is in support of? 8D

This is just an 'in between' drawing. Currently planning a new, short project which I hope to actually finish. ^_^; You may see screens of it here at a later date...already have some character art done. The lovely lady depicted above isn't part of that aforementioned project, though. Project teasers and more 'in between' pics to come. :]

And this is what I have at the end of Day 2. Line art probably still has some areas that need cleaning up but at the moment I'm happy with it as it is. Base tones down, shading now. As you can see, I'm trying out a different shading style for the hair. We'll see how that goes...I may just end up redoing the hair. :/ I'm going to try to emulate the shading style of this pixel artist. I'm not entirely sure that my attempt will be very successful but we shall see...

But yeah, liking it so far but it's still a very long way from completion.

"Where's Phylly?" "Spread on my toast"

So, I'm finally, finally making a start on the rest of the giftart I owe people. This is a sketch of some art owed to Phyllis and is loosely based off of a facebook photo of hers. In the original photo her hair is its natural, dark, brunette colour. In my drawing it won't be.

I also might be doing another drawing of her and combining that with her love for A Very potter Musical, so look out for sketches of that (many months from now *Brick'd*).

I'm not dead yet!

Just to prove that I'm not dead yet, here is a little W.I.P Sketch. And now you can see how utterly chaotic my sketching style is. Above is eight layers of rough sketching and the cleaned up line art on a separate layer. This is a VERY VERY late (DX) Christmas Present Picture I'm drawing for Timatae. It features some characters that are very close to her heart...

Anyways! I've got the Line Art down now. On to colouring! 8D

Sketch Saturday

So this was the first sketch I did for a possible second entry for a Twisted Fairytales contest on DA. The Fairytale I chose to warp for my second entry was Snow White. I wanted to make her a vampire with the seven dwarves as her 'familiars'. Then I browsed around DA for ref images and got ideas for a more imaginative composition and came up with a second sketch.
Whilst I do like the above, second sketch I don't think I'm going to take it any further. Well, not right now at least. The more I try to do to it, the more frustrated I get with it. Looks like I won't be making another entry for that contest. :/ Which sucks because I don't believe my first entry to be particularly strong, either; I would've liked to have made another image for the contest.

I think I'm gonna go draw something else now. These sketches are just pissing me off. :/ But I do like the bow I gave Snow White. XD These sketches have also highlighted the weaknesses in my style and just how much I can't draw. : [ So now I'm having an 'I-can't-draw-day' and feeling kinda shitty about it. *Sigh*

Just a little something I've been working on the past week or so. College is proving to be exhausting so this is all I've really done in the past while. :[

I quite like it but it could be better. I'm revising Dinah's character design and how I draw her. I'm still not sure how to draw her eyes. I want them to be big to show her innocence and I want them to 'dip down' at the sides to show how sad she is but it's really not working.

Not been feeling so great about my art recently. At this rate 'Black & White', the short comic I'm drawing, may just go on hiatus. DX I just want to finish it.

Three versions because I was just messing around with the layer's visibility. I'll only upload the coloured version to deviantart. Which version do you like?

The Last Chibi

This is Steph's sister. I didn't know her name and forgot to ask so there's no name on this. Hopefully I can rectify that pretty soonish. Anyway, this is the last free Chibi drawing I'm doing. I'm hoping to do commissions at some point in the future. Commissioned drawings will be of a much higher quality than these chibi drawings though that'll also depend on what I'm asked to draw. XD I need to draw commission samples...

Good Show, Old Bean

Based on a panel from the Hellsing manga, this was something quick and silly drawn for an English Language assignment talking about why I talk the way I talk. I like the background, the hair and the shades of purple on the shirt. The hand looks dodgy and my facial expression looks really gormless. :/ Quick and silly indeed.

First Post Trauma

So here are some chibi drawings of friends that they requested I do. The styles inconsistent, as are the heights and the proportions suck (even for a chibi) on a lot of them. :/ Oh well, the friends seemed to like them which was good. I may just have to draw some more chibis to get my style consistent again. DX

Ah, nice to get the first post out of the way and put something up here. It sure ain't gold but then, what did one expect?
